Faltering sun
04.11.2025
Autumn with her dead leaves and grey sky,
She has the ability to pull you down
Fall with her with the leaves and birds
Fall down, slowly down and stay
Cold and gray, eternal hibernation
But before you go, do put on a show
Dress in lace and velvet,
Reds and yellows shimmer once more
One last display.
The sun shines through the gray
Gives off its faltering warmth,
Paints the clouds once more
Like we'll never see it again.
But if you must go,
Leave me with a gift
To see the beauty in the end,
To paint the sorrow
And make words from memories,
So I will not forget to visit your grave.
